August

Events:  Preparations are now in hand for our final Event Day of the season on 7th September.  The day will have a musical theme, with the very popular folk group, the Copper Family Singers, and some individual music acts entertaining us. Children’s activities and the sale of memorabilia and refreshments, including a BBQ, all combine to make this a great day out for all the family. Having now produced a substantial quantity of flour we can at last call ourselves a ‘working mill’!  Weather permitting we will be producing flour on September 7th and it is planned to have our own commercially printed flour bags containing relevant information such as how to store the flour, and the ‘best before’ date, etc.  You will find the mill looking extremely smart as it has recently been possible, with the use of the cherry picker and long handled brushes, to wash the complete outside of the mill, including the top ridge.
The mill will also be open on Sundays, 3rd August and 5th October, 2 – 5 p.m. for guided tours, memorabilia and refreshments.  Please support us to help raise much needed funds to maintain the mill.  Donations at these events are greatly appreciated – we suggest £3 per person or £5 per family.
